what music means to me

Music is an expression that uses the sense of hearing and feeling. From Classical to Hip Hop there is no doubt that the culture of the society directly reflects its music. We see this through jimmy Hendrix, and in hip hop. music today inspires listeners to be more superficial.I wonder if there is such a thing as a good addiction, because I am addicted to music. Without music, my day is completely empty and boring. I wake up to music, I go to school listening to music. in my opinion music calms me down when i am upset about things that are not going right for me sometimes. After listening to music it calms me up for example when am broken hearted i listen to beyonce and Adele they help me to go through what am facing and it brightness my day. Calms me up means to bring happiness and bring back memories I have been able to relate to the kind of songs am listening to. Some times there are parts of the songs or tunes in a song that will make me think about the sad times in my life. since i was young i have always wanted to be a singer,to come
up with music that will impact people in there lives. Music has been around for centuries. People have always been drawn to music for variety of reasons, but mainly because of the way music makes them feel. Whether a person is feeling happy or sad, frustrated or confused, even alone, music is always there, its a constant in a person’s life that he or she can relate to. The opportunity to play music was introduced to me in the fourth grade. When it presented itself I decided to take a chance and try it out. Right away I was taken in by the music. I enjoyed what we were playing and how it sounded. right now am in the school choir and am planning to do my album by the end of this year... mainly my songs are targeted for teenagers and the youth! in my life i have always wanted my music to impact people in there lives in so many different ways.
music has opened so many different doors for me like signing in the Kenya music festival and also i sang for his highness prince aga khan. i am looking forward in doing more collaboration with different musician in Kenya to build my talent and see the areas i need to improve on my singing!
